GETTING CARE

Overview of Services Provided

The health center’s approach for meeting community needs includes providing integrated services through a single point of access, hiring from the target population whenever possible, strongly emphasizing preventive health, and working collaboratively with other health and human service organizations locally and nationally. This collaborative work is accomplished by partnering with and sharing limited resources with existing institutions to provide the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to address health care needs in the community.

MOHC has conducted an extensive community needs assessment, has garnered widespread community support, and is committed to primary care on Molokai. To understand community need, MOHC will perform community needs and asset assessments every three years. In addition, to remain cost effective and to provide our uninsured and underinsured patients with quality care, operational planning will occur annually and will include the participation of the board, staff, patients, community leaders and other key stakeholders. A strategic plan will be reviewed each year.
