Biography
Agatha Akai currently serves as the Executive Support Specialist at Molokai Community Health Center. Since joining the organization in 2004 as a Patient Service Associate, she has steadily advanced through a series of key administrative and leadership roles, including Accounting Assistant/Billing Coordinator, Operations Assistant, and Operations Manager, before stepping into her current position.
In her role as Executive Support Specialist, Agatha plays a vital part in Human Resources and oversees the credentialing and privileging processes for the Center’s Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, and WIC providers. She provides essential support to the organization’s leadership team and board of directors, contributing to strategic operations and governance.
Beyond her administrative contributions, Agatha also serves as the organization’s Emergency Preparedness Delegate, collaborating with the Hawaii Healthcare Emergency (HHEM) Coalition. She is a licensed amateur radio technician operator, supporting communications readiness for Molokai and the broader health system in times of emergencies.
