Biography
Keani (Guyz) Kawano serves as the Dental Operations Director at the Molokai Community Health Center, bringing years of dedicated service and steadily increasing responsibility to the dental department. Keani began at an entry-level role and advanced through to supervisory and management positions, and has played a key part in the dental program expansion, improving patient access and supporting high-quality, culturally grounded oral health care for the Molokai community.
As a Native Hawaiian committed to improving the well-being of Molokai families, Keani brings a deep understanding of local needs and a strong belief in the Molokai Community Health Center’s mission. Her leadership emphasizes collaboration, operational excellence, and a patient-centered approach that honors the values of mālama and kuleana.
Keani oversees daily operations, ensuring efficiency in patient flow and optimal use of resources, as well as ensuring compliance with federal, state and local governances.
Throughout her career, Keani has been a steady force, helping guide program growth, streamline clinic operations, and support dental providers and staff in delivering compassionate and effective care.
