Biography
Rebecca (Becky) Biersbach works as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for Molokai Community Health Center. With a passion for health and wellness in small communities, Becky brings over 18 years of experience in medicine to her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Becky earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Radford University in 2007 and continued her studies at Radford to earn her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2013.
Becky began her career as a registered nurse in emergency medicine. Her graduate studies at Radford University focused on treating acute and chronic conditions across the patient’s lifespan, and in a holistic manner. Becky has been honing those skills in her practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her passion is providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages.
Becky appreciates the unique challenges of working in a rural medicine setting. This is evident in her work with rural clinics in Virginia, Alaska, and Hawaiʻi. Her move to Molokai was a purposeful one, as she was drawn to the island's culture and community.
Additional information
When Becky is not practicing medicine, she can be found hiking, kayaking, or tending to her garden. Becky also practices hula through a local halau.
