Shawnna Wataoka

Biography
Shawnna has worked with Molokai Community Health Center for five years and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer. Shawnna has a background in health care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and brings 15 years of direct clinical experience at Straub and Castle hospitals to her role. Shawnna’s clinical background ignites her interest in ensuring quality care is delivered through the medical, dental and behavioral health departments on campus that she helps oversee.
Shawnna’s experience with MCHC has inspired her to pursue a degree in Healthcare Administration with a concentration in Community Health.
Additional information
With a mission of serving rural communities, Shawnna and her family moved to Molokai 6 years ago and she and her husband both have directly and positively impacted the underserved communities on Molokai and Lanai.
In Shawnna’s spare time, she enjoys ocean sports and assists with animal welfare efforts.
