Biography
Milton Cortez joined Molokai Community Health Center as Chief Executive Officer in July 2024. Prior to starting at MCHC, Milton most recently served as Director of AHARO Hawaii, a consortium of five Federally Qualified Health Centers which includes Hamakua-Kohala Health, Hana Health, Waimanalo Health Center, Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center, and Molokai Community Health Center. He also served as Chief of Operations and Chief of Information Technology at Hamakua-Kohala Health. Milton’s experience in public health and technology has improved systems in rural Federally Qualified Health Centers across the state of Hawaii, starting at Koʻolauloa Community Health Center in Kahuku.
Milton’s leadership skills developed as he served in the U.S. Navy. He also has experience with technology in Behavioral Health Care organizations and non-profit organizations in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Mr. Cortez holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from National University in San Diego and will be completing a master’s degree in health care administration from George Washington University.
